About Leon

Leon is an antagonist from my webmanga, Star of Destiny. He is called a Tar'Aezas in the story, which in the story terms means he is either the Chaos or Order bound entity of another person and should technically not exist. He, in particular, is a Chaos entity. To create a Tar'Aezas is to, in all non-physical senses, tear yourself in two.

Being the Chaos bound half of the story's lead male protagonist, Leon comes off as chaotic and destructive. He has a lust for destroying things, whether they be physical or emotional. Usually both. He revels in death and carnage and on the exterior seems to have no purpose but to sow as much chaos as he can into the universe.

He has magick capabilities far beyond normal humans, being capable of creating echo shades (Images of a person that can go out into the world and act for them while they remain hidden. They can see through these shades and know everything the shade knows. It is considered impossible to tell the difference between an echo shade and a real person). Because of the powers he carries, Leon likes to abuse it to the fullest extent. He'll taunt his prey and play with them, never taking a battle seriously as he instead fools around. He likes to fight while upside down for no other reason than he can.

He is considered the most dangerous person on Apollos, the world of Star of Destiny, to those who know his true nature and origin. However, only five living people beside Skye know this. Everyone else thinks he's just a homicidal maniac out to destroy everything he can.


For those curious, Leon's personality and powers were based off a mix of characters:

His initial insanity was to be a play at Batman's The Joker, a man who was just plain psychotic and had no reason to really cause the chaos and destruction he did other than he just wanted to (Note, Leon was created BEFORE The Dark Knight. He is NOT based on Heath Ledger Joker, but rather on the Batman the Animated Series Joker, who was voiced by Mark Hamill.

His power, as well as his destructive and clear cut evil ways, were based off Lord Zedd from Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers. When he was first introduced, Zedd was a frightening and awesome villain! He had enormous power and as was seen in one episode he could wipe the floor with the Rangers if he had ever properly fought them himself.

His power abusing aspect, along with his strange way of fighting, is loosely based off Peter Pan. Not Disney Peter Pan, but rather the Peter Pan found in the the 90s cartoon "Peter Pan and the Pirates" done by Fox. In this cartoon, Peter acts a LOT like he does in the original novel. He's cocky, knows he's skillful, and abuses his ability to fly a lot. You can see these aspects of Peter just in the first episode (when Peter says the name of the Frost King despite Tink constantly reminding him NOT to say it as it'll bring the Frost King back and when he's just standing around only to start to fall over and then suddenly break into flying before he hits the ground).

This was a commission done by , who has quite the gallery of macabre works. His style seemed particularly fitting for Leon, I felt, and so I jumped on getting a greyscale. I do admit, I think it loses some of its edge without a background, but I'm sure at some point I'll commission *FASSLAYER again to do more of Leon, and I'm certain when the time comes there WILL be blood.

Now to just wait on the other... four commissions I have out there.
