Star and the Cherry Blossoms

So about a year ago, I spoke with my friend ~maiji about making a set of watercolour paintings of Star of Destiny characters, with the plan being to offer them up as donation wallpapers. The model of it was to be we'd make one wallpaper and offer it up. People could donate a few dollars and get the wallpaper, and once we had more than enough donations to cover the next wallpaper, we'd make the next one. I had the first wallpaper made up of Star Yunai. However, things fell through. I didn't want to offer the first wallpaper until we had more readers on the site. That didn't happen, so I never offered it. Now here we are, a year later, and I'm rebooting the story. Star's also been redesigned for the reboot.

So, with nothing else to really do, I thought I'd just post this up so people could see it. It's now sort of a relic of the old Star of Destiny, and I still like it a lot.

I'm intentionally uploading a smaller version of it, though, so I can do this: If you'd like a wallpaper sized copy of this piece, I will accept donations for it.

If you're interested in getting it, send a $5 donation over Paypal to skye[DOT]mccloud[AT]gmail[DOT]com (Be sure to replace [DOT] with . and [AT] with @).

Be sure to include what size resolution you use when sending the money (If you don't know Paypal, you'll be able to include a message, so say the size there), so I can give you a proper size. If you'd rather have all three sizes, just in case, just say that. The max three sizes I have are:

16:9 ratios: 1920x1080
8:5 (16:10) ratios: 1920x1200
4:3 ratios: 2048x1536

You'll get two copies of the wallpaper, a colour retouched version (Which is what I've posted here) and the original version (which has lighter looking colours). These'll be sent to the e-mail address for your Paypal account.

Edit: I'm gonna try out the Premium Content thing deviantART now offers. That way, if you happen to have points, you can use those instead. If you still want to pay via cash without dealing with DA's point system, you can still donate via Paypal. The Premium Content download will be a zip file including all three aspect sizes (Max size as well, so they should scale down well) from both versions of the wallpaper.
